Let’s start the new year off right! So many people start off thinking of eating “right” and counting this and watching that- it’s enough to drive a sane person crazy! But did you know not only is Gordo’s Cheese Dip awesome in dishes or as the stand-alone star, but it is also Keto friendly, gluten-free, AND has NO transfat? So dip in and enjoy!! We are quickly approaching some super sporting events! The NFL Playoff Games, the Super Bowl LVI, and the 2022 Winter Olympics! Bringing Gordo’s and chips to the big game will definitely not only grab you some hi-fives but surely a golden trophy awaits you for being the star of the night with these other amazing dishes!
You can start the night off with an enormous plate of mouth-watering Gordo’s Fajita Nachos. All the spiciness of beef (or chicken) fajitas layered in mounds of tortilla chips with onions, peppers, tomatoes and topping it off with the piping hot goodness of Gordo’s! Wow! A touchdown FOR SURE! Give him 6!
- 1 ½ lbs flank steak, or chicken
- 1 container any flavor Gordo’s® Cheese Dip
- 1 bag of tortilla chips
- 1/2 onion (sliced)
- 1 green pepper (sliced)
- 1/4 cup fresh lime juice
- ¼ cup minced fresh cilantro
- 2 T. olive oil
- 2 T. Worcestershire sauce
- 2 T. chili powder
- 2 t. minced garlic cloves
- 1 t. ground cumin
- 1 t. salt
HOW TO PREPARE:
Combine all your marinade ingredients into a 1 gallon zip lock bag and mix well. Place steak or chicken into the marinade bag and refrigerate at least two hours (turn occasionally). Heat your skillet and cook meat 3-5 minutes on each side depending on the thickness of the meat. Set aside to rest for 10 minutes before slicing. With meat cooling, slice onion and pepper. Sauté in skillet until tender. Slice meat thin on the diagonal. Arrange a thick layer of tortilla chips, next layer meat, onion and pepper, and top your nachos off with Gordo’s Cheese Dip over everything. Add toppings of your choice; sour cream, salsa, guacamole, pico de gallo, lettuce, tomatoes, and cilantro.
Staying with the goodness of spiciness and football- what better dish to serve than Gordo’s Buffalo Chicken Wing Dip! You better have that celebration dance ready for the End Zone because you will be scoring all kinds of points with this! Cream cheese, ranch dressing, and buffalo sauce pair with Gordo’s for an amazing taste and flavor! Nothing better than wings, Gordo’s, and a beer! Touchdown!
- 3 boneless skinless chicken breasts, cooked and shredded
- 1 8 oz. package cream cheese
- 1 16 oz. tub HOT Gordo’s Cheese Dip
- 1/2 cup ranch or blue cheese dressing
- 1/4 to 1/2 cup bottled buffalo sauce depending on how spicy you like it
HOW TO PREPARE:
Melt cream cheese and Gordo’s Cheese Dip in bowl in microwave for 2 minutes until melted. Stir in chicken, dressing and hot sauce. Pour mix into a greased 8 x 8 oven safe baking dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes until hot and bubbly. Serve with tortilla chips, pita chips, kettle cooked potato chips, crackers or bread.
Besides the Championship trophy, the next best honor is the MVP! You will grab this honor hands down for serving up some Gordo’s Cheesy Chicken Empanadas! The rich buttery flakiness of the crust to the bursting with flavor chicken filling smothered in Gordo’s Cheesy goodness!
