Makes 12 sliders

INGREDIENTS: Cheesy Turkey Sliders

  • 12 Hawaiian Rolls, cut in half crosswise
  • 1/2 cup Gordo’s Mild Cheese Dip, microwaved until pourable, about 2 minutes
  • 2 cups shredded turkey meat
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1/4 cup sliced fresh green onions (or 1 tablespoon dried chives)
  • 1/2 teaspoon creole seasoning or blackening seasoning, optional
  • 1/2 tablespoon melted butter
  • 1/2 tablespoon dijon mustard
  • 1/2 tablespoon honey
  • 1/2 tablespoon dried parsley
  • 1/4 teaspoon onion powder or garlic powder (or half and half of each)

HOW TO PREPARE:

Preheat oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit and spray a sheet pan with non-stick spray. Do not split the rolls into individual rolls. Using a large serrated knife cut the entire package in half, splitting all the rolls into tops and bottoms. In a medium bowl stir together cheese dip, turkey meat, mozzarella, green onions, and creole seasoning. Place the bottom half of the rolls onto prepared sheet pan. Evenly layer turkey mixture over bottom half of the rolls. Top with top half of the rolls.

In a small bowl, stir together butter, mustard, honey, parsley, onion powder, and garlic powder. Brush this mixture over the tops of the rolls. Cover the sheet pan in foil.

Place pan of sandwiches into the oven and bake for 12 minutes. Remove the foil and bake an additional 10 minutes or until heated through and cheese is melty. If desired, place a toothpick or skewer into each sandwich.Let rest 5 minutes before cutting sandwiches apart with a serrated knife.
