INGREDIENTS:

  • 1/4 cup butter or olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, chopped
  • 1 (16 ounce) package frozen chopped broccoli
  • 2 (32 ounce) cartons chicken broth
  • 1 container Gordo’s Cheese Dip Original
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 2/3 cup cornstarch
  • 1 cup water

HOW TO PREPARE:

In a large pot, add butter/oil over medium heat. Add onion and cook until softened. Add broccoli and chicken broth. Simmer until broccoli is tender, 10 to 15 minutes. Reduce heat, and stir in Gordo’s Cheese Dip until melted. Mix in garlic powder, salt and pepper. In a small bowl, stir cornstarch into water until dissolved. Stir into soup; cook, stirring frequently, until thick.
