STAYING YOUNG NATURALLY
Monday, May 24, 2010
This week we would like to explore ways we can slow down the aging process. We live in a fast paced world and we are aging just as fast. Research shows that there are a few things we can do to extend our youth, no matter what our age. I don’t know about you, but I need all the help I can get!
The first one we will look at is keeping our skin healthy. Everyone knows about the importance of using sunscreen everyday, whether we think we will be in the sun or not. Choose a sunscreen that protects against harmful UVA and UVB rays. This is your first defense against aging and skin cancer.
Here are a few ideas that you may not know. Retinol (a type of Vitamin A) is considered to be the most effective over-the-counter treatment to smooth skin and prevent wrinkles. It also helps to restore moisture and elasticity. It helps your skin to exfoliate which keeps your pores unclogged.
Retinol and Vitamin C skin care products boost collagen production. Vitamin C is also a great antioxidant for your skin helping to remove harmful cancer-causing free radicals. Be cautious when trying skin care products that contain Retinol and Vitamin C. They work so well, people with sensitive skin could experience burning, tingling and redness. Women who are pregnant should consult their doctors before using products containing retinol.
