BACK TO SCHOOL

It’s that time of year again.  Children all over the country are going back to school.  Here are some tips to keep your family sane for this school year.

1.  Start the night before.  Have as much preparation done before bed time.  Lunches and snacks can be made ahead.  Make sure homework is done, papers are signed and everything is in the backpack ready to go.  If possible have children pick out their clothes the night before.  This might be your biggest stress buster.

2.  Have a very visible family calendar.  This may take a little time to incorporate but EVERYTHING from assignments, practices, schedules and lunch menus should be on or near this calendar.

3.  Create a cabinet or drawer for homework tools and school supplies.  Keep this stocked throughout the year to avoid last minute trips to the store.
