5 Ingredient Super Bowl Snacks

It’s time again for the Super Bowl! You know what that means! Awesome football game, hilarious commercials, and tons of food! We’ve thrown together some of Gordo’s greatest hits to wow any Super Bowl party! But with the clock running down until the big day, here are the best Super Bowl recipes that are all just five ingredients! No more running around the store with a grocery list that is pages long, all you need is a few things to make this Super Bowl the best one yet! So whether you are rooting for the Falcons or the Patriots, everyone at your party will be a winner! 



Cheesy Chicken Empanadas


  • 3 cups cooked chicken, shredded
  • ½ cup Gordo’s Cheese Dip (any flavor)
  • 1 package taco seasoning
  • 1 (15 oz.) package refrigerated pie crusts
  • 1 egg & water


Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. Line a Baking Sheet with parchment paper. Toss chicken in taco seasoning. Cook chicken in large skillet. Allow chicken to cool, shred. In a large bowl combine the chicken and cheese. Unroll 1 piecrust onto a lightly floured surface. Cut into rounds, using a 3-inch cookie cutter or cup. Re-roll dough as needed. Repeat with the remaining piecrust. Making as many circles as possible. In a small bowl, whisk together egg and 1-2 TBSP water. Arrange 1 dough circle on a clean flat surface. Lightly brush the edges with the egg wash.Place 1 large TSP of chicken in the center of the round. Fold the dough over the filling, pressing the edges with a fork to seal completely. Place on baking sheet. Repeat with the remaining circles and chicken mixture. Lightly Brush the tops of the empanadas with the egg wash. Bake in oven at for 15 minutes or until golden brown.


Baked Vidalia Onion Cheese Dip

  • 1 cup Gordo’s Cheese Dip, Original
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • Onion dip2 cups (8 ounces) shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1 cup (4 ounces) shredded pepper jack cheese
  • 2 cups chopped Vidalia sweet onions, chopped


Melt Gordo’s cheese dip and mix with mayonnaise, cheddar cheese and pepper jack cheese. Stir in onions. Pour in a greased 4 cup baking dish. Bake uncovered at 375 degrees for 20 – 25 minutes or until bubbly. Serve with bread or crackers.


Buffalo Chicken Wing Dip



  • 3 boneless skinless chicken breasts, cooked and shredded
  • 1 8 oz. package cream cheese
  • 1 16 oz. tub HOT Gordo’s Cheese Dip
  • 1/2 cup ranch or blue cheese dressing
  • 1/4 to 1/2 cup bottled hot sauce depending on how spicy you like it


Melt cream cheese and Gordo’s Cheese Dip in bowl in microwave for 2 minutes until melted.  Stir in chicken, dressing and hot sauce.  Pour mix into a greased 8 x 8 oven safe baking dish.  Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes until hot and bubbly.  Serve with tortilla chips, pita chips, kettle cooked potato chips, crackers or bread.


Gordo’s Pizza Cheese Dip

Serves 8-10


  • 8 oz Original Gordo’s Cheese Dip
  • 8 oz favorite marinara Sauce (any flavor or style)
  • 4 oz grated Parmesan
  • 2 oz chopped pepperoni
  • ½ packet dry Italian Dressing Mix


Heat up Gordo’s Cheese Dip in the microwave as directed. Pour into a microwave safe bowl. Add the remaining ingredients and mix well. Heat the entire mixture for 60 second in microwave, Stir. Depending on the microwave you may have to heat another 30 seconds. Garnish with any of your favorites: Shredded mozzarella, grated Parmesan, diced bell peppers, diced olives, diced onions, diced tomatoes, and bacon bits! You can have your pizza dip anyway you want it! Serve with Ritz crackers and sliced French baguettes.


Gordo’s Bacon and Cheese Stuffed Mushrooms

  • ½ cup panko bread crumbs
  • 8 to 10 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled
  • 15 to 20 large mushrooms


Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Remove stems from mushrooms and mince. Mix melted Gordo’s cheese dip, panko bread crumbs, crumbled bacon and mushroom stems. Place mushroom caps on greased baking pan. Fill with bacon and cheese mixture. Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown.


Gordo’s Hot Sausage Dip


  • dip1 lb. ground hot pork sausage
  • 1 (10oz.) can diced tomato and green chiles
  • 1 cup Gordo’s Cheese Dip(any flavor)
  • 1 cup shredded sharp cheddar cheese


Cook sausage in large skillet, stirring until meat crumbles and is no longer pink. Drain well. Add diced tomatoes and green chiles, melted Gordo’s cheese dip and shredded cheddar cheese. Pour in 2 quart baking dish. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes or until bubbly. Serve with corn chips, tortilla chips, crusty bread
